Edinburgh Half Marathon and Crystal Palace Triathlon 9 & 26 May 2013 Will Bryson decided to run the Edinburgh Half Marathon in memory of his uncle Mark Robinson to raise money for Mental Health Research UK. To make it a bit more interesting, he also entered the Crystal Palace Triathlon the weekend before, involving a 750m swim, 20km bike ride and 5km run. In his own words: ![]() I initially decided I would take up the challenge of running the Edinburgh Half Marathon in aid of MHRUK and in memory of my uncle, Mark Robinson. However, as training progressed I was persuaded to step up the challenge and also compete in the Crystal Palace Triathlon the weekend before. The addition of the triathlon not only made fitting in the training that little bit more difficult, but also meant I had 6 weeks to learn how to swim front crawl!
